MULTIPLE CALLS DURING WINTER BLAST On Tuesday evening members of the Whippany Fire Department responded to various motor vehicle accidents on 287 and also responded to a fully involved car fire on Route 10. Engine 81 was the first on the scene which quickly extinguished the car fire. The cause was undetermined.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT WITH EXTRICATION

WORKING STRUCTURE FIRE At approximately 01:05 hours the Whippany Fire Department was dispatched for a working basement fire at 223 Parsippany Road. Units on the assignment were the Whippany Fire Department, Cedar Knolls Fire/First Aid. Florham Park Fire Department was dispatched for their Rapid Intervention Team, (RIT) and Morris Township was requested for their air truck. Whippany Fire officers, 202 and 207 arrived on scene relaying they had heavy smoke and fire showing from the "B" side of the dwelling. Interior crews from both Whippany and Cedar Knolls reported fire in the basement.
